Affiliated showjumping comes to Coleg Gwent in Usk

British Showjumping have announced that affiliated Showjumping is being held at Gwent Coleg’s Usk Campus, starting with a series of BS Shows scheduled for the autumn.

Senior and Junior competitors are catered for, with club classes starting at 50cm, as well as a Category 1 Show with the usual combination of classes and Amateur Qualifiers.

Situated on the College’s Rhadyr Estate, where land-based studies and equestrian courses have long been a focus, the facilities include both outdoor and indoor arenas.

A spokesperson for British Showjumping said: “The indoor arena will be particularly valuable to riders as we head into the winter months.

“With easy travel (both Cardiff and the Severn Bridge are less than 25 miles drive), we are confident that Showjumping at Usk will prove to be a popular option for riders.”

The first show was on 12th October and upcoming events are planned on 9th November, and 14th December. Further details can be found on the British Showjumping website.
